Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China - The People's Republic of China State Education Commission, headquartered in Beijing, is the PRC agency of the State Council which regulates all aspects of the educational system in mainland China. It certifies teachers, standardizes curriculum and textbooks, establishes standards and generally monitors the entire education system in an effort to "modernize China through education".
Curriculum - In education, a curriculum (plural curricula) is the set of courses and their contents offered by an institution such as a school or university. In some cases, a curriculum may be partially or entirely determined by an external body (such as the National Curriculum for England in English schools).
Special education - Special education (also known as special ed, SPED or defectology) refers euphemistically to the teaching of students with academic, behaviorial, or health/physical needs that cannot be met in the general education program.
